The Royal British Legion CENOTAPH PARADE SUNDAY 08 NOVEMBER 2026 

 It is with great pleasure that we can inform you that the association exec have once again successfully registered the RAF Physical Training Instructors Association to participate in the RBL Cenotaph Parade on Sunday 08 November 2026. 

 As is usually the case, the Cenotaph Parade is expected to be oversubscribed and therefore we have requested 18 TICKETS, (we were allocated 15 in 2025, with one unused ticket due to illness).  

 The number of tickets actually allocated to our association will be announced by RBL on 10th June 2026, however, there may be an opportunity to bid for more tickets if available later.  

 Our allocation will be in line with our memberships previous attendance numbers and consistent with other Veteran Associations of our kind, the Cenotaph Parade is defined as a “March Past”, so the PTI Association Standard will not be paraded.  

Application Process

Paid up members will receive a letter inviting them to apply for a place on the Association Team and the RBL and the association exec have the following application itinerary for the run up to the event:

19th March 2026 RBL – Ticket Request – Initial comms to Associations including a link to submit ticket requests. COMPLETED.

24th April 2026 RBL – Ticket Request Deadline – All Association Ticket requests submitted COMPLETED.

10th June 2026 RBL – RBL Ticket Allocation – Confirmation of 2026 ticket allocation to Associations and Registration Opens.

31st August 2026 PTI Association – All PTI Association Applications deadline for submission (see Members Letter) lead receives and sends in all successful participants details to RBL.

7th September 2026 PTI Association – Exec makes 2026 Team selection and informs participants of their application outcomes.

30th September 2026 RBL – Registration Closes – Deadline for Association leads to complete submission of individual participant information

30th-31st October 2026 – E-Tickets & Joining Instructions with full event information sent to all participants (lead will ensure all participants have received their joining instructions).

Selection  

 The Cenotaph Lead will gain an automatic place and will be the point of contact and manage all correspondence with RBL Cenotaph team, registration, processing applications, assist the exec with the selection of team members, conduct the team muster at Horse Guards Parade with the march onto Whitehall and the purchase and supply an appropriate PTI Association Wreath. 

 If the number of applications exceed the RBL ticket allocation the selection process for the allocated tickets will be, in order, as follows: 

 All applicants will be notified of the selection results by the exec committee.

 Serving Personnel 

 As this is a veterans’ parade, currently serving personnel, including full time and part time reservists, are not permitted to take part in accordance with RBL rules.
